We support many community groups with our system. There is any number of types of groups with all manner of reasons to be in existence. Where we help them is in the area of administration and visibility. Using Agoria allows the maintenance of the group's website to become easy and straightforward.

You don't need a high level of skill to run the website - all you do need is some basic knowledge of word processing and office style tools.

Most groups will have some sort of subscription or membership fee and without these fees to make a modest contribution to the running of the group - few could exist.  Here again - the Activity Forum back-office system helps the administrators to keep their lists up to date. Viables is a Community Centre in Basingstoke with a number of halls that provide space for parties and weddings, as well as the usual regular evenings of Salsa and Keep Fit. Many Towns and Parishes in the UK under the auspices of the Localism Act are producing their Neighbourhood Plans. Maidenhead has a population of 60,000 and to reach this population and engage them in the production of the plan, they needed a website - Agoria is the answer. Brighton Hill is part of Basingstoke and has started a community hub with the intention of bringing a number of separate community activities together. Cafe Scientifique is supported by the British Science Association and is a place where for the price of a cup of coffee or glass of wine you can come and explore the latest ideas in science and technology. Older Persons' Advisory Forum is a group that provides advice and information to older members of the community. It organises events which address their problems and campaigns along with others to raise the awareness in local and national government.
